Linear motors
1,200 cycles per minute
The sorting and separation of small products or small workpieces today requires ever-increasing speed. Examples can be found in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries, as well as in recycling processes. Jung Antriebstechnik u. Automation GMBH (JA²) has now developed the new TurboPusher TP01 for such high-speed applications.
The design focused on reducing moving masses and ensuring maximum rigidity. An aluminum profile running on plain bearings serves as a guide element and anti-twist device. With this plain bearing technology, designed for continuous operation, accelerations of up to 250 m/s² (25 g) can be achieved with the linear motors used. This enables top speeds of up to 4 m/s and cycle rates of up to 1,200 strokes per minute (20 strokes per second) even with small strokes.
The maximum stroke lengths are available in 40 and 80 mm. Furthermore, the use of plain bearing technology and the materials used achieves IP57 protection, making them suitable for use in humid production environments. A connection for sealing air is provided for dusty environments. The reinforcement of the output-side pusher plate can be customized and made of stainless steel or PEEK, for example, depending on the customer's and application.
Compatible with the predecessor
The mechanical connection points of the TP01 TurboPushers are compatible with the proven HighDynamic series from the same manufacturer. True to the motto "mass makes the difference," the use of high-strength aluminum materials and polymer plain bearing technology has reduced the moving, non-motor mass by approximately 75%, enabling high dynamic performance. The new, highly dynamic TurboPushers can be operated with appropriate positioning controllers on all common fieldbus systems. The complete systems are delivered ready for connection and plug-in, and pre-parameterized. This makes them an ideal alternative to pneumatic solutions, especially since they operate much more dynamically, quietly, and more energy-efficiently.
