NXD tupH combines a special surface finish with a high-performance sealant. The result is a pore-free surface that is hygienically easy to clean and does not flake or corrode even after numerous cleaning cycles. NXD tupH has proven its chemical resistance in long-term tests, including with Ecolab cleaning agents. Furthermore, Nord drive components with the NXD tupH surface are food-grade, meeting the requirements of the FDA, the EU, Switzerland, and the MERCOSUR countries. This makes them suitable for food-related applications in the food and beverage and primary packaging sectors.

Economical Alternative to Stainless Steel Drives

Nord thus offers users an economical and high-performance alternative to stainless steel drives. Drive solutions with aluminum housings are lighter and allow for a more compact design. Since aluminum conducts heat well, higher power density and lower surface temperatures can also be achieved. With NXD tupH, aluminum housings are now also chemical-resistant; this makes the drive solutions durable and increases system availability, even in washdown applications.

Nord's surface protection requires no special design and therefore no separate storage and installation costs. The manufacturer retrofits existing components with its surface finish.
