Clear view into the machine tool
With the Spinvista rotating window, Hema enables a clear view into the machine tool even during ongoing production. This allows processes to be reliably monitored visually – especially when setting up new machining processes.
The Spinvista rotating window from Hema Machine and Equipment Protection provides a deep view. It offers operators a clear view into the work area of a machine tool. This allows them to easily check its reliable operation. Thanks to the functionality of the vision system, this can also be done during ongoing machining. Spinvista consists of a motor-driven, rotating disc mounted on the inside of the machine's safety windows. Rotating at 2,300 revolutions per minute, it deflects chips and coolant from the rotating window, ensuring a clear view of production processes.
Safety and flexibility in use
The design of the rotating window offers the user a high level of safety and flexibility in use. With a low installation height of less than 32 millimeters, the rotating window does not protrude far into the machine's working area. Since the orientation is freely selectable, existing feed points and feeders can be used, and short supply lines can be achieved. The rotating window is mounted on a mounting plate, which in turn is glued to the machine safety glass. This makes it easy to retrofit the rotating window as part of a retrofit.
The powerful BLDC motor was specially developed for the rotating window. Its anti-lock protection ensures that the rotating glass decelerates to a non-critical speed within a few seconds as soon as the power supply is interrupted. A labyrinth structure between the device base and the rotating safety glass glass almost completely prevents cooling lubricant from entering the field of vision. Overpressure generated by sealing air also prevents cooling lubricant from obstructing the view or fogging the glass. The vision system is constructed of aluminum with a hard-anodized surface, making it resistant to abrasion and corrosion.
Ideal for troubleshooting, monitoring, and new setups
By providing a clear view of the spindle and workpiece, Spinvista is ideal for continuous monitoring of the machining process and for troubleshooting in the event of damage. The vision system also offers advantages for setting up new machining processes. During test runs, for example, it can be used to track the movement paths of the various tools and detect potential collisions.
Spinvista is available in two models. Spinvista Evo has an outer diameter of 253 mm and a viewing area of 284 cm²; the larger Spinvista Neo has the corresponding dimensions of 290 mm and 430 cm².
