CLTA – Modular, belt-driven cicular system for efficient, flexible automation

Rollon will be presenting the new CLTA belt-driven circular system at LogiMAT in Stuttgart from 24 to 26 March 2026. The CLTA has been specially developed for efficient, flexible automation and is characterised by high modularity, controlled dynamics, durability and optimised integration. This makes it an ideal solution for material handling and industrial automation.

Circular systems enable precise movements along straight and curved paths and are particularly suitable for applications with limited space or complex movement requirements. As a specialist in linear motion systems, Rollon has an innovative circular system portfolio that covers numerous automation and handling tasks. The CLTA is now an additional variant. The belt-driven system is based on the robust CLT rail platform and offers a modular, configurable architecture for applications with moderate loads and speeds.

High flexibility and quick assembly

The new circular system enables oval and rectangular motion paths with standardised components that can be combined without special machining or complex assembly steps. At its heart is a three-stage base on which the pulleys and belt are mounted, forming a stable, rigid foundation. This architecture ensures high structural integrity while allowing users to easily configure the system.

"The introduction of CLTA is a further step in expanding our range of highly modular circular systems," said Andrea Tosi, VP Technology at Rollon. "With CLTA, we offer a versatile and robust architecture that meets the modern challenges of automation while maintaining the precision and reliability that characterise our technical approach."

Reliable long-term operation

The CLTA system is designed for low-friction, reliable and long-lasting use. The ground raceways minimise friction and vibration and ensure smooth movement with low-noise operation. Deep nitriding increases surface hardness and wear and corrosion resistance. This ensures long-term stable performance even under demanding conditions. For dusty or contaminated environments, the carriages can be equipped with lubricated wipers. In more dynamic applications, an automatic lubrication system can also be integrated via cross holes that feed the lubricant directly into the running surface. This reduces maintenance and ensures optimum performance over a long period of time. In applications that require precise repeatability, optional carriage indexing ensures accurate, controlled positioning along the track.

Applications in robotics and automation

The new belt-driven circular system is suitable for numerous applications in material handling and industrial automation. Ideal areas of application include test and inspection lines, filling and packaging systems, high-speed conveyors, medical devices and multi-station assembly processes where smooth movement, long service life and flexibility are important performance factors.

CLTA is available as a single component or as a fully assembled unit. The pre-assembled version shortens commissioning time, facilitates adaptation to existing systems and enables cost-effective implementation.
