Linear guidance
Combination of hygiene, comfort, precision and durability
The Rollon Compact Rail linear guides feature smooth, low-noise movements as well as high durability and enable precise positioning. They are also self-aligning and low-maintenance. This makes Rollon's Compact Rail an ideal solution for linear motion applications in medical technology.
As a long-standing partner to the medical technology sector, Rollon supports the industry with precise, hygienic as well as customized solutions and thus contributes significantly to greater patient well-being, more efficient processes as well as to relieving staff. The Compact Rail track roller guides in particular are ideal for use in medical technology applications. They are robust, precise, quiet, reliable and self-aligning and meet the high requirements of medical technology 100%.
Linear guides for medical technology
The Compact Rail are linear guides made of cold-drawn steel profile with induction-hardened and ground raceways and a robust steel slider. The self-aligning systems have a compact design, are insensitive to dirt and dust, and are designed for high travel speeds (max. 9 m/s) and accelerations (max. 20 m/s2). In addition, the track roller guides feature a long service life and low maintenance requirements. They can cope with minimal amounts of lubricant, ensuring an absolutely clean application.
The induction-hardened and ground raceways guarantee maximum precision, maximum reliability, and smooth and quiet movements. Since the raceways are located inside the C-profile, they are protected from contamination. For higher load capacities, the Compact Rail is also available as a Plus variant with double-row track rollers.
Unique self-aligning capability
Thanks to their self-aligning capability, Compact Rail systems can perfectly compensate for parallelism errors of the mounting surfaces in one or two planes (axial and radial) as well as for a height offset or angular errors between the guideways. Parallelism errors between the rails of up to 3.9 mm and vertical alignment errors of up to ±2° can be compensated, or in the case of Compact Rail Plus - the variant with double-row ball bearings for particularly high load ratings - spacing errors of up to 3.5 mm and angular errors of up to ±1.3°.
Individual customer solutions
Whether for diagnosis, treatment or therapy: Rollon's Compact Rail opens up interesting possibilities for manufacturers of medical technology equipment for a compact, hygiene-friendly design with a high degree of cost-effectiveness. By the way: Rollon linear technology complies with the current FDA, Reach and RoHS standards and can be easily provided with a wide variety of surface coatings, e.g. to protect against corrosion, and can be individually adapted to customer-specific applications.
