Cable glands
Corrosion- and impact-resistant
The Swiss cable gland specialist Agro, part of the Kaiser Group, has expanded its MCE multiple entry system for shielded cables and wires with new EMC versions.
The new EMC versions consist of two corrosion-resistant and impact-resistant aluminum half-shells in six versions with three or eight entry holes for cable clamping ranges from 4 to 22.5 mm. For secure, powerful shield tapping with low transfer impedances, the units feature easyConnect series contact springs that reliably compensate for tolerances in shield thickness. The special shape of the contact spring results in a large shield clamping range.
All-round flat rubber seals made of CR and NBR ensure high sealing up to IP69k. Sealing inserts are available in addition to NBR rubber molded elements in an easy-to-install, slotted design, as well as flexible multilayer seals that can be adapted to various cable diameters. Agro also manufactures customized sealing units, for example, with multiple bores. Unused feedthroughs are sealed with solid rubber sealing inserts. These highly robust, salt spray-tested multiple feedthroughs according to ISO 9227 are suitable for use in temperature ranges from -30°C to +105°C, offer strain relief according to EN 62444 (Type A), and are REACH and RoHS compliant.
