Easy and ergonomic handling

Torwegge GmbH & Co. KG is presenting a new, effective material flow solution with the Eco transport roller. The trolley was developed to facilitate the transport of heavy loads of up to 250 kg in various areas such as the food industry, retail, catering, healthcare or warehouses.

The intralogistics specialist manufactures the product entirely in Germany and uses high-quality acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic for this purpose. In addition to high temperature resistance, the conveyor technology also has optimal sound insulation. There is also the option of reinforcing the device with fiberglass. To ensure precise tracking and management of the flow of goods, there are also placeholders for QR codes and radio frequency identification (RFID) slots.

"Robust, smooth-running transport rollers are among the classics in our range. With our new development, we offer a high-quality solution made entirely in Germany that is significantly cheaper than competing products," says Thomas Otto, Managing Director of Torwegge GmbH & Co. KG. The even weight distribution on the individual rollers makes moving bulky goods much easier.

The Torwegge solution is suitable for various areas, for example in the warehouse when transporting plastic boxes or Euronorm containers. The device is completely Made in Germany. The materials used also come from Germany. The chassis is made of three millimeter thick ABS plastic, which ensures the highest quality and reliability and is particularly resistant to scratches and impacts, even at extreme temperatures. Sustainable thermoplastic is used for the tread material of the wheels.

With its ergonomic properties, the Eco transport roller helps to prevent injuries to employees that can occur when manually lifting and carrying heavy loads. In addition, thanks to the all-round chassis, it is non-slip and offers effective protection against damage to the objects being transported. "Last but not least, the use of our transport roller also saves time, as it enables faster and more efficient transport from A to B," explains Otto.

The Eco transport trolley is available in three different versions to meet the specific requirements of different applications.

• A version with four swivel castors allows maximum flexibility and makes maneuvering in tight spaces easier.
• A version also with four swivel castors, but two of them have a parking brake, which prevent the transport trolley from moving inadvertently and thus offers additional safety.
• A combination of two fixed and two swivel castors, which increases both stability and maneuverability and is therefore ideal for various transport requirements.
• In addition, the Torwegge solution can be customized with various optional features - including the possibility of branding and placeholders for QR codes and RFID slots, which enable precise tracking and management of goods flows. For production quantities of 500 or more, Torwegge also offers individual RAL colors.
