Hygienic, blue – and up to IP66

Conta-Clip is continuously expanding its KES cable entry system, with a particular focus on versions made from certified, hygienic material for the food industry. Like all existing KES solutions, the KES-R-FDA M round FDA-compliant versions, finished in the characteristic blue, allow for the quick and space-saving insertion of up to 68 cables into control cabinets or machine housings.

The round entry systems, consisting of a robust, elastomer-injected polyamide frame, feature integrated snap-in hooks for simplified installation. They are first snapped into the openings from the outside of the housing and then secured from the inside with locknuts. After piercing the outer membrane at designated entry points, hoses or cables can be easily pushed through. Conically shaped TPE entry grommets on the back of the cable entry system ensure IP66 sealing of the cables.

The FDA-compliant elastomer of the new KES-R-FDA M variant meets the hygienic requirements of food contact regulations 1935/2004/EC and (EU) 10/2011. Furthermore, the smooth surfaces and rounded corners of the products ensure the hygienic properties required for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
