Linear guidance

New dimensions

RK Rose+Krieger has expanded its successful RK Monoline MT linear unit program with a more compact size. The RK Monoline MT 60 opens up possibilities for tight installation spaces while maintaining the same high load-bearing capacity. This allows for more precise dimensioning of linear axes and multi-axis systems.

While the RK Monoline MT series linear units were previously limited to size 80, RK Rose+Krieger's modular system now also offers linear axes in size 60. This size is suitable for all applications requiring linear guides with more compact dimensions or where an RK Monoline MT 80 would be oversized. The dynamic load limit of size 60 is 100 kg (1,000 N) in the axial direction; strokes of up to 5.5 meters are possible.

RK Monoline MT 60 offers proven performance advantages.

Machine and plant manufacturers benefit from the advantages of the linear unit series, even in this more compact size. The roller guide components feature an omega-shaped toothed belt drive. This means the toothed belt does not rotate but is fixed to the end plate on both sides. The drive is located on the carriage and can be variably mounted on either side. This design allows the axis to be equipped with multiple carriages. The RK Monoline MT series linear axes enable high travel speeds of up to 5 m/s with a maximum acceleration of 15 m/s². Their smooth running characteristics ensure a repeatability of ±0.05 mm. They are easy to maintain thanks to central lubrication via the carriage.

RK Multi-Axis Modular System Offers More Customization Options

RK Rose+Krieger has designed the RK Monoline MT series linear units specifically for use in pick-and-place, palletizing, and loading/unloading applications. Thanks to grooves and centering holes, as well as system brackets, system plates, and clamping strips from the RK multi-axis modular system, they can be quickly and easily assembled into multi-axis systems. With a fixed carriage and moving profile, they can be used as a cantilever or horizontal axis, for example, in a handling portal. With the payload on the moving carriage, they function as a vertical axis or as a gantry drive with two vertical axes. The RK multi-axis modular system offers even greater adaptability with the RK Monoline MT 60.

RK Safelock keeps loads where they are

Specifically designed for vertical applications, all sizes of the RK Monoline MT can be equipped with the RK Safelock holding element, which operates independently of the motor brake. Spring elements are pressurized with compressed air; when this is deactivated, the steel springs securely lock the axis. This eliminates accidents during assembly, disassembly, and maintenance work caused by falling guide carriages. As a self-reinforcing system, the holding force is guaranteed even with lubricated rails. The nominal holding force is 1,500 N, and the maximum holding force is 3,000 N.
