The SMT Series 4D Captive Screws feature a self-aligning button, eliminating the need to remove a stabilizing plug after installation. In addition, the greater tolerance allows manufacturers to install multiple self-clinching screws at once without having to worry about minor height differences.

The 4D Captive Screw is also available in a variety of button shapes and supports many different installation methods. The standard nylon buttons are available in black, green and blue, with additional colors available upon request. These knobs are designed for convenient hand operation, but are also available with Phillips, T10 TORX and T15 TORX slot for easy operation with tools.
