Among the latest technological innovations from intralogistics specialist Losyco are battery-powered transport trolleys for curved travel on LOXrail floor rails.

The fully automated vehicles, which automatically synchronize their position and driving behavior via Wi-Fi, are equipped with curved wheelsets that can also be used to create 180° turns and track layouts arranged as roundabouts. Another innovation is the patented AllRounder wheelsets for direct changes of direction on the rail. Two rotating roller halves, mounted at an angle to each other, enable smooth 90° turns at intersections through counter-rotating movements. This enables complex rail layouts with networked track layouts for longitudinal and transverse travel without the installation of additional, maintenance-intensive shunting elements.

Flexible track changes between assembly lines

The AllRounder variant is used, for example, by a large modular home manufacturer to variably move room modules weighing up to 20 tons across five different assembly lines, depending on the level of expansion. For uncomplicated changes of direction under full load, the LOXrail rails are connected with over 180 crossing elements. Flat crossbeams for loads of up to four tons serve as transport carriages. These assembly platforms offer free access from all sides and can be telescopically extended on both sides in six stages without changing the track width.

Road to success for loading and material transport

Losyco has developed high-precision system solutions with various feeding concepts for loading welding cells and large laser cutting systems, for example. The floor rails installed at floor level ensure safe routing at all times. Through integration with the system control system, the material loading system can also be operated fully automatically. Adjusted support points and end-position sensors ensure precise repeatability. The robust conveyor rails also represent a cost-effective, low-wear solution for warehouse logistics. The barrier-free installation in the hall floor ensures unobstructed access and enables continuous routing across multiple bays. LOXrail rail profiles with stainless steel shafts are suitable for extensions to the outdoor area.
