THK is the first linear guide manufacturer with a certified dynamic load rating according to DIN 631.

The dynamic load rating of a linear guide, as well as the resulting nominal service life, is defined by a theoretical formula in ISO 14728. Manufacturers use this formula to calculate the dynamic load rating and the expected service life in their catalog specifications, enabling them to select the appropriate product according to customer requirements.

THK is the first linear guide manufacturer to have the dynamic load rating of its products certified. TÜV SÜD has comprehensively reviewed both the test bench and the test specifications for the experimental verification of the dynamic load rating and confirmed that the tests are performed correctly in accordance with the current DIN 631 standard. This standard defines the test criteria and the requirements for the testing machines. Furthermore, TÜV SÜD has certified the dynamic load ratings that THK has verified based on this test method.

The test specifications are based on the current state of the art and the relevant standards. It regulates in detail the testing procedure, the evaluation criteria and methodology, as well as organizational requirements such as quality management and the calibration of the measuring instruments used for traceability in accordance with ISO 17025.

The certification is subject to annual monitoring by TÜV SÜD. This ensures that the dynamic load rating in the catalog is consistently accurate and offers users a high degree of confidence when selecting products.
