Unique connection

The need to save weight and space means there are always new developments, including the field of drive technology. Hollow shafts on gearboxes or motors are now often used. So far there have been little to no optimal connection options to join the hollow shaft with a normal shaft. The drive specialists from Enemac, Germany, have dealt with this topic and designed the shaft coupling type EWG.

Type EWG consists of two hub halves, connected by a 4-shaft stainless steel bellows. One of the hubs is a clamping hub, which can also be supplied with a keyway according to customer requirements. On the other side there is an expansion cone hub that can easily be inserted into the hollow shaft which ensures the space-saving desired by the designer.

The coupling series is available in seven different sizes between 2 and 600 Nm. As every Enemac coupling, the EWG is free of clearance and equipped with an assembly-friendly clamping hub.
