The new Integrated Motion Controller 22xx...BX4 IMC, which is already integrated into the powerful brushless motors of the Faulhaber 22xx...BX4 family, impresses with extensive functions and excellent performance. The increase in length compared to the individual motor is only 18 mm and includes a full-fledged servo controller and a 12-bit encoder. The full power of the motors can be used in a wide variety of designs.

The version with RS232 interface is ideal for being integrated both from a PC and via an embedded master. And the CANopen version is perfect for industrial automation networks. Direct support from common PLCs is ensured by full compliance with the CiA 402 Servo Drive Standard. But even with the RS232 version, multiple drives can be controlled via a single master port. The integrated motion controller can take on typical tasks such as homing a drive directly via its local digital and analog I/Os.

Alternatively, both versions can also be operated as a “stand-alone” without a master. In this case, its digital and analog I/Os can be used very flexibly for local control tasks or for discrete setpoints and actual values.

Of course, the compact 22xx…BX4 IMC can be combined with many products from the Faulhaber portfolio, such as the compact GPT gearboxes and the new Faulhaber 22L linear actuators.
Efficient and highly dynamic

Thanks to the built-in current control, there is automatic protection against overload and a diagnostic function is also available. Torque, speed or position controls according to the standard for servo drives are supported. In addition, there are low EMC emissions and the mandatory CE marking.

The user interface enables convenient system setup and provides access to advanced diagnostic functions.
