Digital Integration

Design ergonomic workbenches flexibly – it's now incredibly easy with Item's engineering tool. Workstation systems can now be configured directly and integrated into design projects. This saves time, increases flexibility, and simplifies planning. Those who prefer a fast, standardized configuration can still use the proven workstation configurator.

With the addition of workstation configuration functionality to its engineering tool, Item offers new freedom in production planning. Design projects can now be developed holistically – including the associated workbenches. This is particularly advantageous for complex applications where workstation systems are combined with components from the Item MB modular system or the Lean Production modular system.

Free design and optimal integration

The Item workstation configurator has been the preferred tool for planning assembly workstations. It guides users step-by-step through the configuration process and displays only table-related accessories, ensuring a clear overview at all times. Thanks to intuitive drag-and-drop operation and automatic adjustments, even less experienced users are supported during configuration.

Item can guarantee CE conformity for the entire table, including accessories, and provide ESD protection if required. The tables are delivered to the customer fully assembled. Integrating the configurable workbenches into the Item Engineering Tool opens up new possibilities. Components from other product lines can be easily added, and the workstation can be directly integrated into surrounding systems to create, for example, multiple interconnected workstations such as U-cells.

Users work within a single system without interrupting the planning process or switching to another tool. This not only accelerates the design process but also increases transparency throughout the project. The systems can be ordered directly from within the Engineering Tool. The tables are assembled and delivered; the customer attaches the accessories themselves. The workbenches can also be easily configured via the online shop. In addition to the standard models, heavy-duty workbenches with two or four electrically height-adjustable columns, as well as tables with an ergonomic crank drive, are available.

With this new feature, Item underscores its strategy of implementing seamless digital planning processes and increasing efficiency in design. Depending on their requirements, users can decide which tool is best suited to their specific needs.
