Metal bellows couplings
Diverse application possibilities
The metal bellows couplings of the KG series, optionally also available in stainless steel as the “KG-VA” series, meet high requirements.
The power is transmitted via torsionally rigid, two-, four- or six-wave stainless steel bellows, the couplings are available for torque ranges from 5 (MKG) - 3000 Nm (KG) and shaft diameters from 12 - 100 mm. They can be used in temperature ranges from -40°C to +300°C.
One side is designed as a customer-specific flange or hub for machine-side connection, the radial clamping hub on the other side enables simple and quick assembly (EASY clamping hub) and guarantees absolutely backlash-free, safe and force-locking transmission of torque, even without a key.
The bellows and hub are connected using a micro-plasma welding process. This results in design advantages such as the reduced overall length. The coupling offers absolute freedom from backlash, high concentricity and maximum torsional rigidity.
The couplings are used particularly on the input side of low-backlash worm or planetary gears. In stainless steel versions, they are suitable for transport, packaging and filling systems in the food industry. But stainless steel bellows couplings are also preferred in metallurgy, the galvanic industry, in the vacuum sector or in the field of satellite technology equipment.
