Servo drives
A lot of gearbox in a small space
Neugart is responding to the desire of many machine manufacturers for more compact, lighter servo drives with two matching gearboxes: The new developments PLQE040 and PLFE055 expand the proven economy series PLQE and PLFE with smaller sizes and thus round off the corresponding portfolio at the bottom end.
Countless small handling units are used in packaging and many other machines, which until now have often been driven pneumatically or by a cam disc, for example. Increasingly, however, electronically controlled drives are also being used. In addition to correspondingly compact servo drives, the appropriate gearboxes are also required. Neugart is supporting this trend with the new PLQE040 and PLFE055 models. Both are based on Neugart's economy gearing technology with spur gearing, which has proven itself millions of times over.
PLQE040
The PLQE040 in size 040 complements the successful PLQE economy planetary gearbox series, for which a total of four sizes between 040 and 120 are now available. With an output-side centring collar diameter of just 35 mm, the new addition is a true "power dwarf" in the economy family. Depending on the transmission ratio, it can transmit nominal torques of up to 20 Nm.
The total length of the gearbox including adapter is barely more than 9 cm, depending on the motor adapter selected. As with all PLQE gearboxes, the square output flange of the PLQE040 allows easy installation on the system without an intermediate adapter. Despite its small size, the new PLQE gearbox has powerful deep groove ball bearings on the output shaft, which means that it can still absorb considerable radial forces of up to 390 newtons. It is offered with 24 different ratios from i=3 to i=512 and is available with both a smooth output shaft and a keyed shaft.
PLFE055
With the new PLFE055, the PLFE economy flange gearbox series now also offers four sizes, starting with 055. The new product is available with 1 and 2 stages and with ratios from i=3 to i=100. The centring collar diameter here is 5.5 cm and torques of up to 32 Nm can be transmitted, depending on the transmission ratio.
The support distance of the deep groove ball bearings on the output side largely corresponds to the larger PLFE064 model, meaning that the PLFE055 can absorb almost the same radial forces and tilting moments despite its more compact dimensions. Its flange interface makes it particularly easy to fit.
Neugart solutions in small sizes
The two new economy gearboxes PLQE040 and PLFE055 expand Neugart's range of compact gearboxes in the small sizes 040 to 055, so that these are now covered by a total of four coaxial series (PLE, PLPE, PLQE, PLFE) and two right-angle series (WPLE, WPLPE). As is customary at Neugart, they are all available at short notice and from batch size 1. In addition, the new developments are already integrated into the Neugart software tools Neugart Calculation Programme (NCP) and Tec Data Finder (TDF).
