Efficient linear technology solutions for intralogistics
Linear technology is the basis for modern warehouse and conveyor systems and is therefore crucial for implementing automated intralogistics processes. How linear technology solutions and an expanded product range help to reduce costs and boost productivity was demonstrated by Rollon at Logimat in Stuttgart.
As a specialist for linear motion systems and a long-standing partner for intralogistics solutions, Rollon offers an extensive range of products for automation of in-house material flow processes. In 2023, the product range in the area of components and actuators was expanded substantially through a merger with Nadella. Since then, customers benefit from a greater range of products and services, a broader spectrum of applications, and a tighter sales, production, support and service network. At LogiMAT 2024 in Stuttgart, the company presented, for example, its broad spectrum of warehouse automation services, an efficient, integrated telescopic solution for shuttle systems and an innovative oval system for circular applications, as well as ball screws, rod ends and spherical plain bearings.
Efficient, integrated telescopic rail solution for shuttle systems
On the basis of the Telescopic Rail Rollon has developed an efficient and integrated linear technology solution that offers enormous time savings to manufacturers of shuttle systems. The modular system with telescopic rails, rack and tail pulleys is pre-configured, pre-assembled at the factory and designed for easy integration. A demo model with two ASN partial extensions showed how this works in practice. The linear guide rail system guarantees smooth and even operation and is an efficient solution for shuttles, mini-loads and mobile robots in automated warehouses.
AXNR oval system: powerful, compact, and flexible
The trade fair portfolio also included the Nadella AXNR oval system, a flexible and adaptable system for precise circular applications. The circular rail system features excellent load-bearing capacity, rigidity and precision while achieving smooth, even and quiet motions combined with pin-point positioning. An aluminum alloy base that is connected directly to the gearbox reduces the footprint, and the modular design allows fast custom modifications and special versions.
Diverse range of intralogistics products
Whether for automated shuttles, storage and retrieval units, automated guided vehicles, tower/shuttle systems or packaging and palletizing applications: The company’s diverse portfolio includes not only linear guide rails, telescopic rails and linear actuators, but also ball screws, rod ends and spherical plain bearings to meet every conceivable requirement. The result: flexible, user-friendly and economical automation concepts with maximum precision, dynamics and reliability.
