It's arctic cold, temperatures that can freeze your breath. You could almost feel sorry for the shock-frozen products, wrapped in their icy packaging, waiting to be transported on to the supermarket freezer shelves and boxes in accordance with the cold chain. Pizza, vegetables, fruit or baked goods - no food product is excluded from this process any more. The reason for this lies in our changed consumer behaviour, as these frozen goods can be prepared practically and easily without any significant loss of nutrients and vitamins and also have an extremely long shelf life.

As a result, the demand for customised intralogistics systems such as deep-freeze storage systems has increased significantly. Even in these extreme sub-zero temperatures, these automated conveyor and storage systems work efficiently with a high handling capacity. For these tasks, the drive train of these systems must be precisely tuned and function with pinpoint accuracy. In such systems, the Diskflex backlash-free disc coupling is a precisely matched shaft coupling.       

Thanks to the very space-saving design of the drive concept, the torsionally rigid coupling is designed as a compact double-cardanic ZDC version and combines high power density with a slim design. In addition, it offers time-saving and convenient integration into the overall design thanks to its friction-locking clamping hubs in half-shell design.
