They're mixing it up!

Rigid couplings for high-torque stirring and mixing processes.

In process engineering, the chemical industry or in plant construction – wherever safe, gentle and efficient batch homogenization of mostly dry materials is required at the beginning of a process chain. Ribbon blenders are particularly suitable here due to their gentle product handling combined with high output volumes and repeatable, consistent mixing results. Horizontal mixing spirals create counter-rotating product flows and a homogeneous fluidized bed without clumping in the respective mixing chamber. The agitator is driven at a moderate speed with a high torque.

In such mixing plants with high torque requirements, the Torqmax HeavyDuty rigid coupling is the ideal coupling solution. It is available for shaft diameters from 55 to 120 mm and can be mounted radially due to its two-part design. The MSPC version is designed with a groove as an additional form fit. The HeavyDuty version is made of steel and additionally protected against corrosion by means of a black oxide coating. The heavy-duty version is available for a torque range of up to 21,000 Nm. Step-bore variants for connecting different shaft diameters can also be realized on request.

For mixing processes that have to meet special hygienic requirements, the clamp coupling is optionally available in a corrosion-resistant stainless steel version.
