Clamping technology

Greater flexibility and higher productivity

HWR Spanntechnik has developed the new Inoflex VF-A variant from its Inoline product line primarily with automated workpiece changeovers in mind: The hydraulic actuation enables fast and precise workpiece changes, significantly increasing productivity, especially in automated operation.

The new Inoflex VF-A clamping device is a hydraulically actuated 4-sided automation clamp. Its compensating mechanism makes the Inoflex VF-A a flexible all-rounder for automation: Virtually all part geometries can be accommodated with just one clamping device. The hydraulic actuation allows for short component changeover times – and thus higher productivity in automated operation.

Typical applications include stationary use on milling machines, clamping round, square, rectangular, and geometrically irregular components. The Inoflex VF-A is also suitable for deformation-sensitive workpieces and achieves perfect, precise clamping through internal and external clamping.

Three sizes available – Inoflex VF-A 021, 042, 070

Currently, three sizes are available, with chuck sizes of 220 mm, 420 mm, and 700 mm. The 4-jaw arrangement in a 90° increment offers numerous combination possibilities: For example, two opposing jaws can be used as centering clamps, while the two unused jaws remain unused or removed.

Further technical features at a glance:

  • 4-jaw centric clamping
  • 2-jaw centric clamping
  • Clamping with fixed stop
  • Hydraulic actuation
  • Pneumatic support control
  • Clamping control

Overall, the new Inoflex VF-A is a powerful all-rounder. It possesses the characteristic properties of HWR clamping devices – user-friendly, durable, and precise – and offers users high flexibility, even for automated operation.
