New performance class
With the new PSNpro, PSFNpro, and PSBNpro gearbox series, Neugart presents a new performance class above our existing precision gearboxes. This series is based on new, innovative gear technologies and the use of new materials in manufacturing. The optimized tooth flank quality reduces peak loads and enables the transmission of higher torques while maintaining the same service life.
Building on this technological foundation, the precision gearbox series have been consistently further developed. The result is the PSNpro, PSFNpro, and PSBNpro series, which set new standards in dynamic applications. The cycle torque, in particular, has been significantly increased, allowing the pro series to match and even surpass spur gear gearboxes. For applications with frequent load and direction changes, the pro gearboxes are therefore the first choice in the Neugart portfolio.
The pro gearboxes utilize the advantages of helical gearing for outstanding smoothness. The gear ratio variations between input and output remain extremely low throughout the entire rotation of the output shaft. This visibly improves process quality and minimizes, for example, chatter marks in woodworking machines. At the same time, the gearboxes operate exceptionally quietly, even under high loads. This, in turn, improves system acoustics and stabilizes the overall machine performance.
Another key development focus was on reducing inertia, particularly in the smaller sizes. Thanks to the consistent implementation of the modular design principle, the input stage is now smaller than the output stage, starting with size 064. This reduces the rotating mass, enabling faster acceleration and braking and improving control accuracy in highly dynamic axes.
The pro series offers the familiar gear ratios, sizes, and options – without compromise. Even a factory-installed pinion on the output shaft, ideal for rack and pinion drives, is included as standard. With the PSNpro, PSFNpro, and PSBNpro gearboxes, Neugart is opening a new chapter in precision gearbox technology.
