Oriental Motor's high-performance BLV-R series drives are specifically designed for use in mobile robotics, AGVs/AMRs, and battery-powered applications. With their compact design, precise control, and high energy efficiency, these motors perfectly meet the demanding requirements of intralogistics and automation.

Oriental Motor's BLV-R series brushless DC motors enable smooth acceleration, gentle starting and stopping, and quiet operation across the entire speed range. This allows an automated guided vehicle (AGV) to easily avoid other vehicles or objects without the risk of cargo shifting or being damaged. The high-resolution encoder with a resolution of 0.01° enables very precise motor position detection, providing a precise basis for positioning and control tasks – for example, when an AGV approaches defined stopping areas.

Oriental Motor's BLV-R series brushless DC motors enable smooth acceleration, gentle starting and stopping, and quiet operation across the entire speed range. Oriental Motor offers the BLV-R series of brushless DC drives with output powers from 60 W to 400 W and speed ranges from 1 rpm to 4,000 rpm; all models feature an integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) function. A new 750 W variant has also been added to the portfolio, ideally suited for heavier loads and more demanding transport tasks. This drive offers the same range of functions as the other BLV-R motors and is fully compatible with all existing BLV-R gearbox options.

The BLV-R series is complemented by the new MVC01 Mobile Robot Controller. This control module was specifically developed for the simplified and standardized integration of BLV-R motors into AGV/FTS and AMR applications and ensures optimal control of the drive systems. The MVC01 handles vehicle-specific drive control – such as axis synchronization, kinematics, and the provision of odometry data. The controller is ideally suited for two- or four-wheel drives with independent speed control: It reduces the software complexity on the robot controller and enables rapid commissioning.

The BLV-R motors are available with a choice of spur gear, hollow shaft flat gear, or – in a gearless version – round shaft. Variants with an electromagnetic brake maintain the position securely even when de-energized: This ensures reliable stopping on ramps or during emergency stops, particularly in AGV and AMR applications. Depending on the performance class, the compact driver is available in two sizes (65 × 75 × 29 mm or 110 × 160 × 35 mm). It supports CANopen and Modbus (RTU) communication interfaces, enabling space-saving integration into mobile robot systems.
