Guide rollers
Versatility as a system principle
Guide rollers are crucial components of industrial systems. They support, guide, and stabilize loads – often for many years. With the new product category of bearing guide rollers, Kipp expands its portfolio by 104 items in 9 product families. Designed for a wide variety of applications, these rollers combine high dimensional accuracy with robust construction and consistently smooth running.
Whether in conveyor systems, packaging lines, or positioning systems – wherever motion needs to be controlled, Kipp's new bearing guide rollers ensure smooth running on rails, profiles, or raceways. They perform guiding tasks under varying loads and are designed for continuous operation. The combination of deep groove ball bearings with carefully selected raceways results in a component that can be adapted to a wide range of environments and requirements.
The product range covers a broad spectrum of applications. Cylindrical, concave, convex, and Y-shaped raceways are available, as well as versions with single- or double-sided flanges. This diverse range of options allows for adaptation to different guide systems and design specifications. Matching mounting bolts made of burnished steel or stainless steel complete the system.
Three materials for different requirements
The guide rollers are available with various tread materials, each offering specific advantages depending on the material. For precise and quiet applications, the technical thermoplastic POM (white, diameter 20–35 mm) is available – optionally with or without mounting bolts or external threads. This material impresses with its precise dimensional accuracy, low friction, and high chemical resistance, making it ideal for use in automated systems.
Guide rollers made of polyurethane (PUR, dark brown, diameter 20–60 mm) are used where particularly smooth running and the protection of sensitive raceways are required. PUR dampens vibrations, absorbs shocks, and contributes to quiet operation – perfect for noise-sensitive environments and applications with fluctuating loads.
For high load capacities and demanding operating conditions, guide rollers made of nickel-plated steel (diameter 30–70 mm) are available. This design, also available without mounting bolts, impresses with its high dimensional stability, corrosion resistance, and load-bearing capacity. While POM and PUR are directly injection-molded onto the ball bearing, the steel lining is secured with a retaining ring. Versions with two ball bearings are available upon request for particularly high loads.
