Bosch Rexroth has further developed its BSCL ball rail guides for the medium-performance range: New additions to the product line include multi-part guide rails up to 50 meters in length, an option for convenient mounting from below, and manual clamping elements available as accessories. Thanks to more efficient manufacturing processes, this linear guide system is now available at an optimized price point – while maintaining the customary Rexroth quality – and covers an even broader spectrum of applications.

The BSCL (Ball Rail System Compact Line) ball rail guides are ideally suited for both simple and demanding applications in automation, woodworking, the electronics industry, battery manufacturing, the printing industry, or for use as feed axes.

As part of this portfolio expansion, up to 15 individual rail segments can now be assembled to form a single long linear guide reaching up to 50 meters in length. The use of multi-part guide rails makes it possible to cost-effectively realize custom lengths – for instance, in the timber construction or printing industries.

Also new is the option for mounting the rails from below. Unlike mounting from above, this method eliminates the need for cover caps. At the same time, the smooth upper surface reduces abrasion and wear, thereby extending the service life of the system. Compared to a guide rail fitted with a cover strip, this option requires no additional assembly effort. Mounting from below is particularly relevant for environments with high levels of dirt or dust – such as in the woodworking or packaging industries.

Furthermore, Bosch Rexroth now offers manual clamping elements for the BSCL series, thereby simplifying the purchasing and procurement process for the linear guide system and its associated accessories. Clamping elements serve primarily to secure workpieces, ensuring they can be processed safely, precisely, and with high repeatability.

Additional economic benefits are provided by a sealing concept optimized for extended service life, as well as the ability to easily cut the rails to length and machine their ends without the need for deburring or complex chamfering. Thanks to its flexible interchangeability, guide carriages of various accuracy and preload classes can also be freely combined with profile rails of the same size from the Rexroth portfolio. This simplifies logistics and reduces effort in the event that service is required.

Optimally positioned between high-precision and shaft guides

With a dynamic load capacity C50 of up to 99,800 N and a maximum speed of up to 5 m/s, the BSCL series bridges the gap in the medium performance range – situated between high-precision ball or roller rail guides and ball bushing or roller guides. BSCL ball rail guides are available in six sizes ranging from 15 to 45 (15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 45), with six carriage designs (flanged or narrow), as well as in three preload classes and three accuracy classes (N, H, and P).
