An update is available for the PC software VLT Motion Control Tool MCT 10, which is used to configure and document the settings of VLT frequency inverters or soft starters. With the new software version 5.21, users who use Condition-based Monitoring (CBM) with frequency inverters can fully utilise the CBM functions via their computer.
With the MCT 10 software, you always keep an overview of your plants. The tool shortens the time you previously had to spend on commissioning and makes it easier to monitor your applications. If an error or alarm occurs, the MCT10 software provides a quick diagnosis. To prevent this from happening in the first place, the new software version is equipped with improved troubleshooting and is used for preventive maintenance.
During commissioning, let the software guide you step by step through the setup process to save time. A control panel simulator has been integrated for the drives of the VLT® series, so that you can easily try out the programming of the drive in the software tool and follow the individual steps. With the automatic check of your settings and functionalities, you are always on the safe side.
Another new feature is the handling of multiple drives via the software, which makes it possible to transfer master settings to other drives. This saves you time and money. The user-friendliness of the software has also been revised and adapted to that of the LCP control panel. A graphic overview of the limit values and the actual state parameters enable clear monitoring and better troubleshooting during system analysis. For example, active parameters can now be colour-coded to visibly distinguish them from inactive parameters. This makes commissioning with the tool clearer, easier and faster.
