Worm gearboxes
Compact, flexible and easy to clean
Groschopp AG sees itself not only as a manufacturer of drive components, but also as a solution provider. In addition to motors and controls, the company also offers gearboxes. The single-stage worm gearboxes of the Vario family are characterised by their modular structure as well as their hygienic design and can be flexibly adapted to different applications.
The VE31 Vario gearbox from Groschopp in a robust aluminium housing has a particularly smooth surface. It is easy to clean and thus also meets increased hygiene requirements - for example in the food, packaging, pharmaceutical or chemical industries. The gearbox is available painted as standard or, depending on requirements, hard-coated, silcoated and in stainless steel. It can be flexibly combined with Groschopp's IGK and IGL induction motors.
The VE31 is a modular worm gear unit that is available from Groschopp in various versions with cover, output shafts, foot, flanges, solid or hollow shaft. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the hollow shaft gearbox is ideal for smaller conveyor belt applications, for example. Basically, the VE31 offers good efficiency, various mounting options, low-noise operation and a modern design. For higher loads, special versions with motor shaft support can also be realised.
Depending on the reduction ratio, operating mode and lubricant, the torque of the gearbox is up to 25 Nm, the reduction ratio up to i = 75. It is lubricated with mineral grease as standard or optionally offered with synthetic grease or synthetic or food-grade oil. "On customer request, we also implement mechanical modifications or special designs for series production," reports Wolf Meyer, product manager at Groschopp. "This not only results in innovative solutions, we also achieve an optimal price-performance ratio."
