Inspekto shows autonomous image processing

Inspekto, global pioneer in autonomous machine vision, presents its AMV-AI system (Autonomous Machine Vision AI technology) S70 Gen.2 for industrial quality inspection during Motek. The recently introduced second generation of this autonomous machine vision system enables reliable quality inspections in numerous applications. Based on artificial intelligence and a simple set-up, the system creates the prerequisites for continuous automation systems.

At the trade fair, trade visitors will find cross-divisional solution approaches for the entire world of automation and can find out more about the Inspekto S70 Gen.2 machine vision system. Thanks to the unique approach of Autonomous Machine Vision AI, this system enables end-to-end automation of many production processes and thus paves the way to Industry 4.0. The system allows high-quality inspection of objects of all kinds and, in contrast to conventional machine vision solutions, can be installed within a very short time even by users who have no knowledge of machine vision or AI.

The reason for this is the further development of Inspekto's Autonomous Machine Vision Artificial Intelligence (AMV-AI). The essential elements of the image processing system are three modules based on artificial intelligence, which ensure the dynamic adaptation of the operating parameters of the image acquisition system to the respective image processing task in real time, take over the identification, classification and 3D alignment of an object within the acquired image and ensure the actual inspection of objects.

Unlike traditional vision systems, an S70 Gen.2 system is enormously easier to set up and use: users need only an average of 20 to 30 good sample parts and can immediately produce feasibility studies for tasks in numerous applications without teaching faulty parts, training features, time-consuming labelling processes or other markings. The unique advantage of the system is that it is pre-trained, which drastically reduces the time required to set up and start image processing.

For small and medium-sized companies as well as automation system integrators, Inspekto S70 Gen.2 thus offers an invaluable advantage over traditional vision systems: Easy handling and installation no longer require vision experts and can be carried out in significantly less time, which extremely increases cost-effectiveness. In this way, users achieve end-to-end control over their quality inspection processes.

Inspekto is an internationally active industrial company with decades of experience in the fields of image processing, AI research and industrial solutions. The company with roots in Israel builds on a strong presence in Germany, where the European headquarters with a modern demo centre is located. There, users have the opportunity to have their tasks individually examined by competent experts in order to quickly arrive at effective solutions. With Bernd Schumacher, a long-standing international business manager in the global high-tech sector, Inspekto is also headed by a German Global CEO.

"Machine vision is an important building block for the complete automation of many production processes," emphasises Schumacher. "Due to its complexity, this technology has so far often only been available to large companies with access to the corresponding internal know-how and investment assets. Inspekto S70 Gen.2 now makes it possible for small and medium-sized companies as well as system integrators in many industries to implement economical solutions based on an easy-to-use, flexible and powerful machine vision system and thus improve their profitability."
