The need to save weight and space is constantly leading to new developments, including in the field of drive technology. Hollow shafts on gearboxes or motors are now widely used. Until now, there were only a few possibilities to connect the hollow shaft with a normal shaft. The drive specialists at Enemac have dealt with this issue and designed the shaft coupling type EWG.
The EWG type consists of two hub halves, connected by a 4-shaft stainless steel bellows. One of the hubs is a clamping hub, which can also be supplied with a keyway according to customer requirements. On the other side is an expanding cone hub that can be easily inserted into the hollow shaft. This preserves the space saving desired by the designer.
The coupling range is available in seven different sizes between 2 and 700 Nm. The EWG is, as usual from Enemac, backlash-free and equipped with an assembly-friendly clamping hub.
