Quick clamps are used to hold and clamp workpieces. The Heinrich Kipp factory offers these flexible helpers in a variety of designs, including innovative in-house developments under the names KIPPlock and KIPPlock+. New in the range are conductive ESD quick clamps and smart status sensors with which it is possible to query the actuation status.

In production environments, electrical discharges lead to damage or destruction of parts, components or devices. To prevent this, workplaces in so-called ESD zones (Electrostatic Discharge) must be equipped according to standards, down to the smallest component. No problem with the safe ESD quick clamps that HEINRICH KIPP WERK has recently added to its range. In order to guarantee the conductivity prescribed by the standard, the grip elements and the rubber bands are made of electrically conductive polyamide or elastomer. This allows the voltage to be passed on and dissipated via the steel frame.

The new status sensors for quick-releases make it possible to automatically query the actuation status: the sensor detects whether the quick-release is open or closed, so that the information can be processed electronically. This solution allows easy retrofitting of quick-releases for a smart production environment. The products were developed as part of the FEATUREgrip product line. With the intelligent components, users can make their digitised manufacturing processes more stable, precise and reliable by providing additional information.

Quick clamps from KIPP are high-quality, robust and therefore well suited for applications in the mechanical engineering sector. Both steel and stainless steel are used as materials. The large range can be roughly divided into three different designs: horizontal and vertical quick clamps as well as push rod clamps. The solutions are characterised by the one-handed locking in the handle, the clamping of the workpieces is done by the toggle lever principle. Versions with a horizontal or vertical base allow the clamp to be easily attached according to the respective assembly requirement.

The quick clamps of the KIPPlock and KIPPlock+ series are Kipp's own developments. These models are known for the ergonomic shape of the handle and particularly user-friendly handling. High-quality materials, innovative joint bushings and corrosion-resistant surfaces ensure that all products effortlessly withstand 300,000 clamping cycles.

KIPPlock+ also impresses with its integrated safety lock. With the internal rod lock with automatic safety catch, nothing can get caught or snagged, and operation is possible even with work gloves.
