Slotted couplings
Robust and precise
Slot couplings are ideal for applications with special installation situations: They operate backlash-free, are easy to clean and are very compact. KBK Antriebstechnik offers the couplings in various designs and sizes.
In some applications, high torques have to be transmitted in very confined spaces, in others strict hygiene requirements apply. Slotted couplings from KBK are the optimum solution in both cases: due to their special geometry, they have a very compact design, are manufactured in one piece and are therefore insensitive to external influences such as heat or cleaning agents.
KBK manufactures its slotted couplings both with clamping hubs (KBFK) and with half shells (KBFH). KBFK slotted couplings transmit torques between 6 Nm and 240 Nm in the stainless steel version and torques between 3 Nm and 180 Nm in the aluminium version. KBFK slotted couplings are fitted axially onto the shaft with the aid of clamping hubs and are available with outside diameters from 16 to 80 mm. They transmit torque with high precision and are easy to install even in applications with complicated installation situations.
KBFH couplings are available with outside diameters between 30 mm and 80 mm. They allow the user to align the shafts precisely before installing the coupling. KBFH slot couplings can transmit torques between 25 Nm and 240 Nm (stainless steel) and between 10 Nm and 180 Nm (aluminium).
Due to their design, KBK slotted couplings are particularly suitable for hygiene-critical applications such as in the food industry or in medical technology. Both series are available in aluminium and stainless steel as standard, but can also be made of special materials such as titanium or carbon if required. The couplings are optionally available with a keyway and with freely selectable bore diameters (3 mm to 40 mm).
