Linear actuators

Compact design, highest positioning accuracy

Compact design, highest positioning accuracy

Linear actuators combine a stepper motor with a ball screw. They are ideal for pushing and pulling small workpieces or for fine-tuning applications. With its new DR series, Oriental Motor has now developed linear actuators in which the rotor, ball screw and nut are directly integrated without a coupling. They combine high-precision positioning with a particularly compact size and can be integrated highly flexibly into the intended system.

The actuators of the new DR series from Oriental Motor are available in different versions: They are available in the standard version and alternatively with linear table or with lateral guide. All three variants offer users flexible application options and require less space for installation. Thanks to their numerous optimisations, Oriental Motor's DR series linear actuators are ideally suited for applications where every centimetre of space saved is important and where high accuracy is required at the same time.

Particularly compact design

A new feature of the DR series is its optimised, particularly compact design: the actuators are characterised by a reduced overall length as well as less assembly effort. This is because the rotor, recirculating ball screw and nut are directly integrated in Oriental Motor's optimised linear actuators without a coupling. The ball bearings are located on the outside of the recirculating ball nut. Their large diameter ensures that the overall length of the actuators is significantly reduced.

More flexibility in mounting, higher speed

A big plus of the DR series is its high mounting flexibility: the housing design has been optimised so that a larger housing surface now rests on the mounting surface. Especially in the version with linear table, the load is distributed better in this way. This protects the ball bearings and thus extends the service life of the actuators. With the help of specially designed mounting plates, almost all mounting directions can be implemented. At the same time, the linear actuators impress with their higher speed. Two spindle pitches are available: With a pitch of 2.5 mm, a maximum speed of 100 mm/s is achieved; with a pitch of 1 mm, the maximum transport load is 4 kg.
