Micromotors

Ideal for peristaltic pumps

Ideal for peristaltic pumps

Peristaltic pumps, also known as hose or tube pumps, work on the positive displacement principle. The liquid is conveyed through a tube via rotating rollers that press it against the pump housing. The rollers are driven directly by a motor or gearbox. DC micromotors of the SVTN B series from Servotecnica are the right drive basis for peristaltic pumps due to their durability and good price-performance ratio.

In medical technology, peristaltic pumps are used for processing sterile fluids, dialysis, filtration or bioprocess technology. Peristaltic pumps for use in hospitals require controlled and efficient DC motors with high torque. Servotecnica's SVTN B 01 series coreless DC micromotors are characterised by high efficiency and offer a linear relationship between torque and speed. Thanks to the external slotless rotor design, the motor has lower mass and inertia, enabling very fast acceleration and deceleration rates and zero cogging.

Micromotors also for battery operation

The micromotors have no cogging torque and are supplied by Servotecnica in diameters from 12 to 40 mm and for power ratings of up to 150 W. They can be coupled with encoders and precision gears and are designed for a temperature range of -30 to +100 °C. The compact, portable and low-noise drive motors require only a low supply voltage and can be powered by battery. Therefore, they are also ideally suited for mobile applications. Thanks to their coreless design and high-quality precious metal brushes, they are durable and maintenance-free.
