The new AL8000 linear motor series is suitable for highly dynamic and powerful linear axes and consists of three different series with different widths: AL802x: 50 mm, AL804x: 80 mm, AL806x: 130 mm. Each series has a large portfolio of primary parts, which differ in terms of the number of coils, matched winding types and cooling options. The product portfolio is complemented by the different lengths of the secondaries (AL85xx), so that a wide range of different applications can be realized.
Modular coil concept
The AL8000 series features a modular coil concept so that each primary consists of identical segments. This not only makes the linear motor as a whole very short, but also results in an exactly symmetrical design, which creates screw-on compatibility for all linear motors in a series. In addition, the design increases flexibility and adaptability to customer requirements. Within the maximum number of coils of 45, any length can be produced in steps of 3 without great effort.
The AL8000 offers further advantages in terms of connection technology, in that only one cable (excluding feedback) needs to be run from the motor to the servo amplifier. This cable contains both the power supply and the thermal protection contact, thus reducing both material costs and cabling effort.
The AL8000 linear motor series is optimally matched to the AX8000 multi-axis servo system and the AX5000 digital compact servo drives. The connection is made directly without additional accessories, such as the connector box. All motors of the AL8000 series have the same pole spacing of 24 mm.
