Precision safety coupling with split clamping hub
In mechanical and plant engineering, installation space is usually at a premium. In addition, the issue of safety plays a major role, because experience shows that machine failures mean a large additional cost factor. The solution is a reliable connecting element, the backlash-free R+W precision safety coupling in the split clamping hub design, or SKH for short.
The product advantages are clear: - Exact torque limitation - and at the same time, easy radial assembly - Particularly cost-efficient due to reduced assembly and downtime Thanks to the spring-loaded ball detent principle and with disc springs specially developed for this purpose - only for R+W precision safety couplings - the SKH coupling separates the input and output sides within milliseconds in the event of a machine crash, thus preventing application damage and expensive machine downtime.
The connection with the two clamping hubs enables easy installation in the confined machine room. The standard torque transmission ranges from 0.1 to 2,800 Nm, higher torques on request and in cooperation with the experienced R+W engineers.
