From June 21 - 24, 2022 the linear technology specialist Rollon will demonstrate at automatica in Munich how linear motions can be combined to implement reliable, flexible and cost-effective automation concepts. A highlight of the trade fair is the new Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU), a user-friendly plug & play solution for UR robots with UR+ certified linear axes.
Rollon offers the most extensive selection of mechanical linear axes, and implements technically and economically optimized automation solutions for every application – from seventh axes for industrial robots and cobots to flexible portal and multi-axis concepts. Cooperation with system integrators and partners results in custom-tailored complete systems that fulfill the most stringent requirements for efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness.
The 7th axis comes from Rollon
In the area of the 7th axis Rollon offers the most extensive portfolio for small and medium loads on the market, which makes the company a much-in-demand automation partner. The modular traversing axis makes it possible to expand the robot’s radius of action, regardless of the manufacturer or robot type. The large range of different drive and guide systems as well as safety devices covers virtually all requirements and ambient conditions – from highly dynamic and flexible to very clean and hygienic as well as extremely robust.
More freedom of motion for cobots
A special development from Rollon for lightweight robots from Universal Robots is the Cobot Transfer Unit (CTU). Offered as a bundle consisting of a linear axis, control unit and software, the unit was specially designed for cooperation with the popular cobots manufactured in Denmark. The user-friendly plug & play solution for fast UR integration is UR+ certified, individually configurable and easy to operate – which makes it the ideal solution for extending the working range of UR robots. The result: more efficient utilization, more flexible processes and lower costs.
Faster, higher, further
In case of requirements for higher dynamics or a longer range, portal robots or multi-axis systems are the means of choice. The custom-tailored system solutions require only minimal installation space, which allows faster and easier integration in existing production layouts. Robust linear axes of the Rollon Actuator line are used as the basis. These axes feature high load ratings, traversing speeds and repeatability, and achieve high cycle times with a low intrinsic weight. They are designed for use in applications with long Y axes and large spans with minimal deflection, and can easily withstand continuous operation and environments with abrasive dusts.
