Fast and highly precise
The Motoman GA50 expands Yaskawa's industrial robot portfolio with a model specifically for applications that require the highest precision and path accuracy. With a repeatability of only +/- 0.015 mm, the new development is particularly suitable for 3D welding of complex contours and demanding workpieces.
The manipulator's high accuracy and absolute path fidelity, even in linear and circular movements, are ensured by Sigma-7 precision special gears from Yaskawa's own production. The rigidity of the robot arm is around 50 percent higher than that of a Motoman handling robot of comparable design. This means that high speeds and cycle rates can also be achieved.
With a payload of 50 kg and a reach of up to 2,038 mm, a wide variety of laser welding heads can be mounted, enabling the processing of even large workpieces. As an additional design improvement, the robot requires only a single cable to connect to the YCR1000 high-performance controller.
Designed with IP67 protection, it can also be used in harsh environments. Thanks to its slim design, it can also be integrated into systems flexibly and in a space-saving manner.
