Enclosure systems produced in a climate-friendly manner
Rose Systemtechnik was the first German enclosure manufacturer to introduce an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015. The strict standards ensure responsible use of natural resources and apply to the German plants as well as the subsidiaries in Hungary, India and China.
TÜV Süd has certified that Rose's new environmental management system meets the strict requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. The certificate is renewed every three years and confirmed by annual inspections in the meantime. In addition to the audit of its environmental management system, Rose 2022 also went through the VW Group's "Supplier Assurance" and passed with "very good". This audit procedure checks compliance with environmental protection and human rights standards.
For Rose, commitment to environmental protection and sustainability is a matter of course: for example, since the beginning of last year, the housing specialist has been sourcing 65 percent of its electricity from climate-friendly sources. "By switching suppliers, we were able to more than triple the share of green electricity in our energy mix within a short period of time," says a pleased Frank Dorpmüller, Head of Quality Management at Rose. The optimization of processes at the powder coating plant also counts among the successes in terms of climate protection: Here, the running time of the oven could be reduced from five to three days.
Sustainability is also a top priority in the area of logistics: For the transport of its panel PCs, Rose developed a particularly environmentally friendly reusable packaging in a closed-loop system. In the coming years, the buildings at the company's headquarters in Porta Westfalica will also be extensively renovated to improve energy efficiency. "To this end, we are investing several million euros and installing, among other things, a large photovoltaic system on the roof that will generate additional climate-neutral electricity for our production," says Dorpmüller. In the course of the modernization, the warehouse will also be brought up to the state of the art and equipped with automated guided vehicles and fully automated storage and retrieval systems.
