Proportional flow control in applications with high accuracy
Asco 209 Series proportional valves from Emerson provide high accuracy, flow control and power consumption for medical devices, hydrogen pumps, food processing and more.
The 209 Series proportional valves for flow applications meet high standards for accuracy, pressure ratings, flow characteristics and energy efficiency in a purpose-built, compact design. The combination of size and performance features of Series 209 valves enables users to precisely control the flow of a fluid in a wide range of equipment. These include products in diverse industries such as medical, food and beverage, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) that require high accuracy operation.
Accuracy, response time and repeatability are critical factors in high-precision flow control applications such as water flow control in cooling systems and hydrogen flow control in fuel cells. 209 Series valves feature low hysteresis (less than or equal to 5%), superior repeatability (less than or equal to 1%), and high sensitivity (less than or equal to 0.2%) that contribute to valve accuracy.
The low power consumption and fast response time (less than or equal to 15 ms) of the 209 Series can extend the battery life of battery-powered devices, as well as optimize overall system performance and efficiency. Improved internal design eliminates metal-to-metal contact that causes clicking, allowing the valve to operate at extremely low noise levels....
The valves meet global requirements, including Underwriters' Laboratories (UL), United Kingdom Conformity Assessed (UKCA) and European Conformity (CE), and offer a range of options that allow them to be tailored for specific applications. For example, these valves can be purged for critical applications such as oxygen therapy equipment and are available in a variety of coil configurations that increase flexibility and simplify installation. A range of diverse elastomers ensures compatibility with various media, including non-silicone elastomers that withstand alcohol and sulfur in demanding applications such as painting and powder coating, and elastomers approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Association (FDA) for applications in the food and beverage industry.
