Optimum protection against vibrations

Elastomer couplings from KBK compensate for vibrations and shocks in industrial applications, thus increasing the service life of machinery and equipment. The couplings are available with wide torque and speed ranges as well as customized solutions. Due to its modular system, KBK offers its elastomer couplings at significantly lower prices than the competition.

KBK manufactures its elastomer couplings in a total of nine different series for shaft diameters from 2 to 74 mm. The elastomer couplings cover torque ranges from 0.5 to 825 Nm and are designed for speeds from 3,000 to 47,500 min-1. This makes the couplings suitable for a wide range of applications: they are used in machine tools as well as in positioning and handling systems, photovoltaic systems and in the printing industry.

KBK elastomer couplings are the first choice wherever high torques have to be transmitted in a confined space. Due to a preload of the elastomer, all designs are backlash-free. Depending on requirements, the coupling characteristics can be modified with polyurethane spiders in various degrees of hardness.

Since all series are axially pluggable, assembly of the elastomer couplings is very simple. The KBE2HC design in half-shell construction even allows optimum alignment of the shafts to be connected before fitting. KBK is the only manufacturer to also offer this type of coupling in a compact version that is 20 percent shorter than comparable couplings. KBK produces its elastomer couplings with aluminum hubs as standard. On request, however, they are also available as a special design and in stainless steel.
