Handle the highest flow rates

Asco 641/642/643 Series aluminum filter regulators handle the highest flow rates and enable manufacturers to source complete valve control solutions from a single source

Emerson's newly launched 641, 642 and 643 series of Asco aluminum filter regulators can maximize process efficiency and reduce unplanned downtime in a variety of process applications. This line of durable aluminum filter regulators handle the highest flow rates for regulators in their class and provide precise pressure controls for downstream instrumentation.

As an alternative to stainless steel filter regulators, Asco's 641, 642 and 643 series aluminum filter regulators complete Emerson's comprehensive line of valve control technology. This allows process manufacturers to source all of their valve control technology, including solenoid valves, control boxes, filter regulators and accessories, from one global technology partner. By working with a single supplier, manufacturers can simplify their supply chains, improve design accuracy and access comprehensive technical support. Developing a valve control solution with technologies from multiple vendors results in a division of vendor responsibility and risks errors.

"Sourcing valve control technology from multiple vendors is time-consuming and complicates supply chains, while limited options for traditional filter regulators leave some customers unmet needs," said Mike Howells, marketing manager, process applications for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Emerson. "Our new Asco 641, 642 and 643 series aluminum filter regulators simplify procurement for our customers and ensure they increase process efficiency, safety and reliability with industry-leading technology."

With the highest flow rates on the market of up to 10,500 liters per minute (370.8 standard cubic feet per minute), the aluminum filter regulators improve process efficiency and ensure that stringent process valve open/close requirements, such as emergency shutdown valves, are met. Higher flow rates supply more air to the valve actuator while increasing the opening and closing speed of the process valves. Depending on the application, slow valve closing can lead to higher safety risks.

The rugged construction and advanced engineering of these resilient filter regulators provide even greater safety and trouble-free plant uptime, while the special powder coating ensures reliable operation in harsh, corrosive process environments. Effective moisture removal keeps media dry, protecting downstream equipment. Sophisticated filtration of the media prevents contamination of the process in the discharge line.

This three-stage regulator line offers coverage from 0.25 to 1 inch and is highly customizable. Process manufacturers can opt for advanced features such as quick relief with increased safety and operational reliability by releasing the downstream pressure when the supply pressure drops, low temperature and low
copper content, manual and automatic draining, global certifications, and many other options for specific applications in the chemical, oil and gas, power and utility, food and beverage, and water and wastewater industries.
