With extended power range

Nord Drivesystems has developed its decentralised frequency inverters Nordac ON of the SK 300P series specifically for the requirements of horizontal conveyor technology in intralogistics and in the warehouse sector. The inverters feature an integrated Ethernet interface, IIoT capability, full pluggability and a compact design. Now the power range of the Nordac ON has been extended to 3 kW.

The frequency inverters of the Nordac ON series are part of the Nord modular system and can be ideally combined with the manufacturer's motors:

• Nordac ON was designed for applications with asynchronous motors,
• Nordac ON+ for combination with the highly efficient IE5+ synchronous motor.

The drives can be used over a wide speed range and thus enable a reduction of variants, e.g. in large intralogistics systems. The Nordac ON is now designed for power ranges up to 2.6 kW - the Nordac ON+ for up to 3 kW. Both have integrated Industrial Ethernet interfaces. The communication protocols, e.g. ProfiNET, EtherNET IP or EtherCAT, can be easily set via parameters. Firmware updates are also possible via the Ethernet. This makes the Nordac ON/ON+ frequency inverters suitable for integration into IloT environments. The equipment also includes a diagnostic interface, M12 connections for sensors and actuators and, in the case of the Nordac ON+, an additional protocol-based encoder interface that is well protected against interference.

Economical plug-and-play solution

Die platzsparenden dezentralen Umrichter lassen sich ideal in Förderanlagen integrieren und reduzieren den Verdrahtungsaufwand im Vergleich zu zentralen Frequenzumrichtern erheblich. Mit seinen steckbaren Anschlüssen stellt der Nordac ON/ON+ zudem eine wirtschaftliche Plug & Play Lösung für Intralogistik-Anwendungen dar. Die Umrichter sind sowohl für den direkten Motoraufbau als auch für die Wandmontage geeignet.

Like all Nord frequency inverters, the Nordac ON/ON+ has a powerful PLC for drive-related functions. This can process the data from connected sensors and actuators, initiate sequence controls and transmit the drive and application data to the control room, networked components or a cloud.

Optional extensions

The following expansions are available for Nordac ON inverters: functional safety functions such as STO, internal braking resistors for dynamic start-stop operations, as well as an integrated brake control, it switches the motor holding brake without wear and ensures reliable holding of the stop position at standstill, e.g. in inclined conveyor systems.

With its temperature tolerance range of -30 to +40 °Celsius, the Nordac ON series is also suitable for deep-freeze applications.
