High performance, low energy consumption

The brushless DC motors of the BMU series from Oriental Motor operate in a particularly resource-friendly way. The drive technology specialist manufactures the motors with five different rated outputs between 30 W and 300 W.

The brushless DC motors of the BMU series work efficiently. The reason for this is the permanent magnet installed in the rotor: Since there are significantly lower secondary losses here than in inverter-controlled 3-phase induction motors, the drives have a much lower power consumption. In addition, the speed of the BLDC drives remains constant over the entire speed range, even with changing loads.

Brushless DC drives from Oriental Motor offer another advantage over induction motors with frequency converters: they have a significantly larger speed control range. This means that the motors generate a constant torque at both high and low speeds.

Oriental Motor produces the BMU series drives with rated output powers of 30, 60, 120, 200 and 300 W. The motors achieve speeds from 80 to 4,000 min-1, which can be programmed in four steps via the driver with AC power supply. The speed controller integrated in the driver also continuously records the actual speed and compares it with the target speed. If necessary, the output speed is readjusted.

The driver also monitors the rotor speed and adjusts the applied voltage in relation to the set speed. The handling of the BMU motors is very simple, as the desired speed is set by turning and pressing a rotary knob. The user always has all the important parameters in view via a digital display. If the motor exceeds the continuous operating range, an overload alarm is triggered.

The BMU series drives are dust-protected and waterproof (IP66 or IP67). Oriental Motor supplies the motors with either spur gears or hollow shaft gears. The cable can be routed to the shaft, to the rear or vertically.
