Linear axis
Compensate high bending moments
With the double tube units of the EP(X)-II series, RK Rose+Krieger offers a robust solution for the precise positioning of medium to high loads in any mounting position. After the sizes 30 and 40, the size 50 now adds another popular axis size to the RK portfolio. Interested trade visitors can find out more about the EP(X)-II linear axes at Motek in Stuttgart.
Like the other models in the series, the new size 50 with trapezoidal spindle and an overall length of up to 3 m from RK Rose+Krieger compensates for high bending moments during manual and motor adjustment. Further advantages of the robust linear axes are their ease of maintenance and the fact that they can be easily cleaned. Among other things, the concept of the split guide nut contributes to the ease of maintenance: In case of wear, this can be easily replaced without having to dismantle the linear axis.
Linear units with trapezoidal screw drive or ball screw drive
The double-tube units convince with very good running properties with high rigidity and zero play of the guide carriage over the entire stroke. The very good running properties, low wear and thus long service life of the EP(X)-II linear units are ensured by modern materials as well as the standard use of high-performance sliding guides. Both double-tube axes with trapezoidal screw drive of the EP(X)-II series and double solid-shaft versions with precise ball screw drive of the EPX-II KG series are available - the former are more suitable for occasional movement, the latter also for dynamic movement. Users can combine the mutually compatible standard solutions as they wish. Which linear units are used depends on the requirements of the respective application.
Compatible with previous models
Linear units of the EP(X)-II series are compatible with the previous popular EP(X) units in all functional dimensions, external dimensions and spindle pitches. Therefore, applications in which the older models are used can be optimised with the new models without any design effort. There is no need to replace accessories such as handwheels or position indicators.
Different versions available
The double-tube units are available in a choice of "right-hand and left-hand thread", "right-hand or left-hand thread" or split thread spindle versions. A manual, friction-locked spindle clamp is available as an option. It ensures a secure locking of the guide carriage and thus prevents an unintentional adjustment of the carriage.
