Ideal for hygiene-critical areas

Whether induction, DC or electrically commutated motors (servo motors) - Groschopp AG Drives & More offers motors in every functional principle also in stainless steel design. The manufacturer's stainless steel motors are not only robust, durable and versatile, they also achieve an extremely high output power depending on the cooling concept. In addition, they convince with their unbeatable price-performance ratio.

Groschopp has been developing, manufacturing and selling application-specific miniature drives up to 3 kW as well as complete solutions for small and medium-sized systems since 1948. Among other things, they are used in the industrial processing of food and meet the highest requirements for hygiene and cleanliness. "We integrate electric motors in every functional principle into a stainless steel housing," explains Alexander Klupp, design manager at Groschopp. "This means they can also be used in industries where drives have to withstand robust cleaning and corrosion-resistant solutions are required - such as in the offshore sector or in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries."

The technical characteristics of the stainless steel drives do not differ from the manufacturer's aluminium motors. Although the output power in continuous operation is somewhat lower in the version with convection cooling, the values achieved with variants with air or water cooling are significantly higher compared to other stainless steel solutions on the market - and they are also available from Groschopp at particularly favourable prices.

Stainless steel motors with different cooling concepts

A convection-cooled stainless steel induction motor with an outer diameter of 115 mm in the size ISK80-60, for example, reaches an output power of 120 W. With air cooling (ISL80-60), 400 W and in the water-cooled version (ISW80-60) even 470 W are possible.

The convection-cooled servo motor ESK80-80 of the Silver Line ® series was designed according to the guidelines of the EHEDG and achieves an output of 470 W. The ESL80-80 with air cooling as well as the ESW80-80 with water cooling achieve a maximum output power of 2600 W at a speed of 6,000 1/min - significantly more than comparable stainless steel motors of this size on the market - and at a more favourable price.
