Electric motors
More modularity
When it comes to drive selection, users have a wide range of wishes, for example with regard to drive power, gear versions, reduction stages, control or connection technology. In order to be able to cover even higher power levels in automation, ebm-papst has expanded its existing ECI drive series to include size 80.
The new BLDC motors based on the internal rotor principle in protective extra-low voltage (24 / 48 VDC) with 80 mm diameter and up to 750 watts rated power can be individually assembled into a complete drive system by combining different modules. Housed in a robust metal enclosure, it meets the requirements of protection class IP54 as standard.
Customised, individually configurable drive
The modular drive system includes planetary gearheads with different reduction ratios as well as encoder and brake modules. If, for example, the application requires a holding brake based on the closed-circuit current principle, a module with a spring-applied brake can supplement the drive unit. For operation on a remote drive controller, Hall sensors for rotor position detection are currently integrated; further integrable electronic modules such as speed or position controllers, optionally with bus interface, will follow.
Easy integration into the application
Industry-compatible connectors facilitate integration into the application. The radial right-angle connector with bayonet lock can be rotated and automatically engages. For space-critical applications, an axial plug module is available on request; a pre-assembled cable connection is also possible.
Wide range of applications and quick sampling
The customised compact drives are particularly suitable for use in intralogistics, conveyor, storage and sorting systems, in medical technology for adjusting operating tables or patient lifts, and in battery-powered mobile vehicles (AGV, AMR). Thanks to defined preferred types, selected drive configurations are ready for dispatch within 48 hours. Sampling, for example, can thus be realised in the shortest possible time.
