"Everything from a single source" service

"Everything from a single source" service

From the idea to the design to the production: The Bünde-based company Bopla Gehäuse Systeme GmbH has expanded its range of bent sheet metal enclosures. Customers now benefit from an even more comprehensive and individualized complete service. Whether for electrical engineering in the medical sector or in fiber optic expansion: Bopla offers suitable solutions made of aluminium, stainless steel and steel - and these are always tailor-made.

What began as a niche area at Bopla as an alternative to standard plastic products has become an increasingly important sector for the Westphalian enclosure specialist. "The demand for our sheet metal bending enclosures is growing all the time. Due to this development, we have expanded and thus optimized our services in this area," explains Olaf Kleineberg, Product Manager 19 inch & Individual Enclosures at Bopla. Bopla customers now enjoy an all-round service and receive everything from a single source.
Even more efficient production options and customer advice

Bopla has responded to the increasing demand: The company has specifically expanded the area of rapid sample and prototype production. In addition to shorter routes and faster throughput times, all bent sheet metal housings now have even greater vertical integration such as digital printing, laser marking and touch and display integration at Bopla.

In addition, Bopla has launched six demonstration models under the name Interzoll Case for even more efficient customer advice: a family of monitor enclosures, desktop enclosures, console enclosures, 19-inch enclosures, mounting rail enclosures and cavity wall enclosures. These are ideally suited as the basis for customized projects and can be implemented quickly thanks to pre-constructed enclosure concepts. These models give the customer an impression of the end product during the consultation and the opportunity to incorporate specific requirements. However, the Bünde-based enclosure specialist is also the right contact for customers with requirements that deviate completely from the Interzoll case concept. On its homepage, Bopla offers the option of specifically modifying existing 2D and 3D models so that individual requirements can be taken into account during the planning stage.

Customized and tailor-made for numerous areas of application

Kleineberg attributes the increasing popularity of bent sheet metal enclosures primarily to the design options. This is because Bopla offers every customer an individual design for their sheet metal enclosures. "Many customers don't want the same enclosures as the competition. They want a unique selling point, something of their own that they can identify with," says Kleineberg. A Bopla designer works with the customer to develop the design of the enclosure in order to be able to respond optimally to their wishes. Numerous colors and surface coatings are available. From aluminum to sheet steel and from powder coating to corrosion-protected bare metal surfaces, the enclosure can be perfectly matched to any location. Cut-outs for connectors, cooling openings, openings for cables and project-specific mounting options for PCBs and electronic components are an integral part of the manufacturing process for a sheet metal enclosure.

Other important selection criteria are the special material properties. Sheet metal enclosures have excellent thermal conductivity and protect against electromagnetic radiation. Aluminum is also particularly light. Steel and stainless steel are characterized by their robustness and durability. Thanks to their versatile material properties, sheet metal enclosures are used in numerous areas of application: as protection for electrical engineering in trains, in cash register systems at petrol stations and soccer stadiums and as 19-inch enclosures to cover electronics in company server rooms. "We have customers in all kinds of sectors and now offer an extended, suitable service and the optimum enclosure solution for each of them. Our sheet metal bending enclosures are as individual as our customers," says Kleineberg.
