Curve-ready!

Cable emergency switches are established as “extended emergency stop” buttons, particularly on conveyor systems. Its use is easy to implement on straight conveyor lines. But what about curved conveyor systems or other extensive and non-linear danger areas? Steute has designed “around the corner” – the result is a simple, effective and yet standard-compliant solution: the Multiflex 4R deflection pulley.

The head of this deflection pulley, in which the rope is guided, can be rotated as desired, which means that the rope guide can be adapted to curved conveyor routes. The 4 integrated rollers offset by 90° reduce the friction of the pull rope enormously. The crucial thing is that even with longer pull ropes and multiple slight deflections per pulley, DIN EN 60947-5-5, which requires a maximum deflection force of 200 N with a maximum deflection of the rope of 400 mm, is easily adhered to.

An M8 thread creates the prerequisites for simple and universal installation of the Multiflex 4R. Alternatively, it can be attached to common profiles using a sliding block.
