Optimal protection

Housings for military applications must be particularly robust and durable. As a qualified supplier to the defense industry, Rose Systemtechnik has been manufacturing customized housing solutions for applications in all branches of the armed forces for many years. The products meet the highest standards and are subjected to strict quality tests before delivery.

Rose has been manufacturing high-quality housing systems for demanding applications made of aluminum, stainless steel and polyester for over 50 years. The products are characterized by a high degree of protection (IP66/IP67 and higher) and are therefore insensitive to water and dust. HF-protected sealing systems also shield the housings against electromagnetic radiation. In conjunction with aluminum housings, the seals ensure safe and reliable communication.

Housings made of stainless steel or aluminum are particularly suitable for marine applications: They meet the highest demands for seawater resistance. The stainless steel housings are already optimally prepared for use in maritime applications due to the material properties (V4A/CrNiMo). Aluminum housings are passivated by an immersion bath in chromium (III) oxide and provided with a low-copper alloy. The housings are then given a NATO-specified paint finish.

Rose Systemtechnik manufactures both industrial housings and Ex control stations for military applications. The products have all the relevant approvals and certifications for use in the military sector (including Marine, ATEX, UL-Ex, Inmetro, UKCA Ex, Explolabs). All housings are also subjected to intensive environmental and IP protection class tests (according to DIN EN 60529) before delivery. These include, for example, salt mist storage (DIN EN ISO 9227), outdoor weathering tests, climate storage and ESD conductivity tests. On request, Rose also carries out customer-specific housing tests including installations. The services also include individual mechanical processing and painting as well as equipping the housings with specified components.
