Corrosion-protected torque limiters for indirect drives
Enemac safety clutches for indirect drives offer a wide range of types and reliably protect your drive against overload. Indirect drives are characterised by the fact that the motor and output elements are not located on a common axis. The drive shaft is offset parallel to the output shaft. The torque is transmitted via belts, gear wheels or chains, depending on the requirements and the magnitude of the torque.
The safety clutches are equipped with a 360° synchronised detent position and re-engage automatically after one revolution. This means that the clutch can be re-engaged after a stop by starting the machine slowly, without the need for time-consuming assembly work.
Enemac offers corrosion-protected versions for more demanding environments. Using special hardening processes, the main components of the torque limiters are nitrocarburised or gas-nitrided and then oxidised. The disc springs used are coated and the balls and ball bearings are made of stainless steel. This makes these clutch types suitable for many outdoor applications and wherever moisture could become a problem.
The Ecol_KS series is designed for attachments with a small fastening pitch circle. The shaft of the torque limiter is fastened using a radial clamping hub for diameters up to 58 mm. The safety coupling is suitable for a torque range between 2 Nm and 800 Nm and for operating temperatures from -30°C to 200 °C. There are 12 sizes available, which can be used at speeds of up to 4000 min-1.
